Pope Francis is Wrong to Support Same-Sex Civil Unions According to 2nd Peter 2:5-7

It's really something when Pope Francis really says one dumb thing after the other. Vicar of Christ? Well, he really isn't showing it. The doctrine of papal infallibility means that the Pope is spared from doctrinal error. Unfortunately, supporting same-sex  (even if it's a civil union) is a doctrinal error. How do you know doctrinal error? It's because human authorities and church tradition must be filtered by the Scriptures. That's what it means to have Sola Scriptura which Scripture may not be the only authority but the final authority because when God says it - you have to do it!

2nd Peter 2:5- says the following which will really refute Pope Francis:

5 God did not spare the ancient world, but brought the flood on the world of godless people; the only ones he saved were Noah, who preached righteousness, and seven other people. 6 God condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, destroying them with fire, and made them an example of what will happen to the godless. 7 He rescued Lot, a good man, who was distressed by the immoral conduct of lawless people.

Sodom and Gomorrah were very well-known to be bastions of sexual immorality. Was homosexuality the only cause? No, but it didn't mean that homosexuality didn't contribute to the destruction. Ezekiel 16:50 says that the people of Sodom were not ashamed to commit acts of abomination. The ceremonial law is gone but homosexuality still remains wrong in the New Testament (Romans 1:24-28). 1st Corinthians 6:9-10 lists homosexuality as one of the many characteristics of an unrighteous person. 1st Corinthians 6:11 says that you can't be saved and still live like the way you did two verses earlier as a lifestyle. 

This is really the problem of rejecting and misunderstanding Sola Scriptura. It was so laughable how a Catholic fake defender lady said that Sola Scriptura led to the abomination in Alabama Baptist Church. She better be careful with her mouth because if you rely on the Scriptures - you'll really know homosexuality is really a sin according to the Scriptures. Her dilemma now is that her precious Pope is now supporting civil same-sex unions. So I guess it's okay to support civil same-sex unions as long as you don't support a same-sex wedding inside a Catholic parish? That would be just plain double standard to say so. Roman Catholics may go ahead and try and cover it up but the Word of God is clear that even civil unions for same-sex are still sinful.
